Who is this for?

We offer free demo sessions to unsigned bands, singers and rappers in the local area and beyond. The sessions are particularly aimed at young or new artists, but are open to all. They are perfect for artists looking to cut a demo to get gigs, try out new material or get an initial taste of recording at Purple Squares.

How's it different to a normal paid session?

For starters, the sessions are staffed and run by our trainee engineers, so you can expect a slightly lower quality end result. Also, this is only a demo service, and the following restrictions apply:

- You can record a maximum of three songs.
- You can't release or sell what you record, although you can give it away or use as a promo.
- The sessions are only available on Saturdays, from 10am - 5.30pm.
- You can only book a single day at a time.

How do I book?

Either call Chris on 07742 963 603 or email free@purplesquaresstudios.co.uk to arrange a session.

You'll be asked to fill in a short booking form and send a deposit of £20 (refundable on the day) to secure your booking. Demand for these sessions is high, and usually we're fully booked 2 or 3 months in advance.
